doTERRA Compensation Plan Outline

If you’d have asked me when I was younger if I thought I could be an entrepreneur I would have looked at you like you were crazy! In my own mind the security offered by working for someone else far outweighed the risk of owning my own business. Here I sit years later owning this successful blog, a marketing company and my doTERRA business. Why did I want to begin the doTERRA business after being a customer for so many years and sharing it with my friends? I took the time to research and the income potential and I couldn’t deny that the doTERRA compensation plan was top notch and there was potential to make lucrative income while helping people to improve their health.

Knowing that my husband is a skeptic, I set him on the task to debunk doTERRA as a company and find any reason we shouldn’t launch a company. He took my challenge seriously and after a week he came back to me with his hands in the air. He agreed we should go for it and now we have a strong, growing team that is growing rapidly.

Today I’m going to tell you about doTERRA compensation plan because it’s pretty amazing and I am often asked. I must note that finances aren’t the sole reason we chose to launch a doTERRA business, the product quality is stellar and the company’s values line up with ours. doTERRA works hard to remain science based, producing high quality, PURE products that far surpass anything I’ve ever used. They source the oils from the area they grow naturally and work with local farmers, stimulating the local economy. I could go on ALL day about doTERRA but this article is about the compensation plan so let’s get to that.

To qualify to earn compensation with doTERRA you must be a Wellness Advocate with a 100PV LRP order placed during the month you’d like to get paid. It’s easiest to keep your LRP order at 100PV at all times.

Retail Sales Profit

As a Wellness Advocate you can purchase products at a wholesale cost of 25% off retail pricing. This allows a Wellness Advocate to sell the products at retail pricing and they profit the 25%. This is the best way to serve your customers long term; it’s much more effective for them to purchase the membership and get the 25% savings themselves. Retail profits are paid out monthly.

Fast Start Bonus

This is a great bonus to start off and it’s paid out weekly. When you enroll a new wholesale customer or wellness advocate you get 20% of their orders for their first 60 days. This commision has 3 levels. When you enroll someone you get 20%, your enroller gets 10% and their enroller earns 5%.

Power of 3 Bonus

There are 3 levels to the Power of 3 Bonus. Each Wellness Advocate on each level must place 100 pv LRP order within the qualifying month to qualify you for your Power Of Three Bonus.  You are paid at the highest Power Of Three level you achieve that month.

Level 1 – $50 Bonus

  • Wellness Advocate must have a 100PV LRP order within the qualifying month
  • Wellness Advocate has 3 personally enrolled Wellness Advocates who placed 100PV LRP orders within the qualify month
  • Team Volume (OV) is 600PV. (Team Volume includes your personal order, the orders of your frontline, retail orders, and Wholesale Customer orders.)

Level 2 – $250 Bonus

  • Wellness Advocate must have a 100PV LRP order within the qualifying month
  • In order to qualify, Wellness Advocate must meet the requirements of Level 1 $50 Bonus
  • Your 3 front line team members must each have 3 other qualified, personally sponsored Wellness Advocates under them with a minimum of 600 Team Volume(OV).

Level 3 – $1500 Bonus

  • Wellness Advocate must have a 100PV LRP order within the qualifying month
  • In order to qualify, Wellness Advocate must meet the requirements of Level 2 $250 Bonus
  • The 9 qualified Wellness Advocates also must each have 3 qualified, personally sponsored Wellness Advocates Wholesale Customers enrolled under them with a minimum of 600 Team Volume.

Unilevel Commission

Once you’ve begun to earn your Power of 3 Bonus, you’re on your way to building a strong team and enjoying the residual earnings of the Unilevel Commission. With the Unilevel Commission, you make a percentage off the sales in your organization.

Unlike many other companies, doTERRA’s compensation plan lets you earn the highest percentage on the lower levels. As you grow or mentor your team leaders and structure efficiently for rank, you will see your team grow wider on your deeper levels. This means the lowest percentages are earned on the smaller groups of people and the highest levels earned on the largest groups (Level 7).

doTERRA’s Unilevel is set up to make sure there is no breakage in payout. If someone below you doesn’t qualify to earn the Unilevel on another member’s order it will roll up to you. This happens throughout every level of your organization!

Leadership Pool Bonus

The final way to earn income with doTERRA is the Leadership Pool Bonus which is paid out monthly.

  • Empowerment Bonus – A Wellness Advocate that qualifies as a Premier or Silver and that enrolls one new Wellness Advocate or Wholesale Customer with 100 PV or more in a month, will receive one share in the Empowerment Pool.  Shares do not cumulate from one Rank to the next.  A share’s monthly bonus is equal to the designated pool’s percentage (1%) multiplied by the Company Volume for the same month, and divided by the number of shares of Wellness Advocates who have qualified for a share in the month.  This is about $200 a month.
  • Silver, Gold, Platinum Bonus – Each Silver receives one share in the Leadership Performance Pool.  Each Gold receives five shares in the Leadership Performance Pool.  Finally, each Platinum receives ten shares in the pool.   A Wellness Advocate can earn an additional share for the month if the Wellness Advocate is the Enroller of a first-time Elite.   Shares do not cumulate from one Rank to the next.  For example, a Wellness Advocate who moves from Silver to Gold is entitled to five shares, and not one share from the Silver pool and five from the Gold pool. A share’s monthly bonus is equal to the designated pool’s percentage (2%) multiplied by the Company Volume for the same month, and divided by the number of shares of Wellness Advocates who have qualified for a share in the month.
  • Diamond + Bonus – Each Diamond receives one share in the Diamond Performance Pool.  Each Blue Diamond receives two shares in the pool, and each Presidential Diamond receives three shares in the pool.  A Wellness Advocate can earn additional shares, for the month, if the Wellness Advocate is the Enroller of a first-time Premier.   Again, shares do not cumulate from one Rank to the next.  A share’s monthly bonus is equal to the designated pool’s percentage (1%), multiplied by the Company Volume for the same month, and divided by the number of shares of Wellness Advocates who have qualified for a share or shares in the month.
