Join me in NYC for She Recovers Retreat in May!

With 2017 officially started, I am sitting at my desk looking at a calendar planning out the year. This sounds like SO much fun right? I am the kind of person who likes to roll with the punches, jumping at FUN opportunities as they’re presented but frankly planning is a necessity in my world. The family and business needs are more of a priority than my personal well being at times and this year I’m focusing on balancing all of this to ensure that I’m taking care of ME.

As a woman in recovery from alcoholism, I have learned to stay in touch with my overall well being. For me to function at a balanced level, I can’t afford to ever take my eye off of that or I’ll end up feeling discontent and antsy which is never good.

One of the events I’m EXCITED to be involved with this year is the She Recovers Event in New York City in May. This is a three day event in NYC which is going to be POWERFUL!

With speakers such as Glennon Doyle, Marianne Williamson, Gabrielle Bernstein, Elena Brower and Elizabeth Vargas I know that we will all be leaving with our cups full. This weekend is about recovery…from WHATEVER.

She Recovers was founded by Dawn Nickel and her daughter Taryn Strong as a place for women to connect, strengthen and become empowered. The She Recovers mantra makes it clear that ALL women are welcome:

We are strong and courageous women, and we do recover. We recover from drug addiction, alcoholism, codependency, workaholism, sex and love addiction, and eating disorders. We recover from depression and other mental illness, burnout, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, abuse, self-harm, cancer and chronic illness. We recover from having our hearts broken, from losing our marriages, our homes, or our jobs.

Women who are recovering in all areas of their lives and who follow all pathways of recovery are warmly welcomed here on She Recovers.
