Mojito Recipe – Non-Alcoholic Drink

This is my favourite Mojito recipe. It’s a non alcoholic version so it’s great to serve to all crowds on a hot summer day!

You can’t get much simpler than this recipe. It’s quick and inexpensive but the flavours will fool your guests into thinking that you’ve spent tons of effort coming up with it.

The fresher the ingredients, the better with this baby. I now grow peppermint in my backyard because I was buying it so often. Growing peppermint is easy as well, just plant it and watch it go. You want to make sure you’re not planting near any other plants because the root system tunnels and can strangle the roots of other plants. Some folks find planting it right in a pot in the ground works best but because I use it so much I tame the roots as I go.

  1. LOve this drink recipe, I am going to make sure I have it available at our BBQ this weekend.

  2. This would be a great addition to a summer barbecue – I wonder how well it scales up? Like to make a pitcher at once?

  3. Thank you SO MUCH for these non-alcoholic drink recipes!!! I am someone who does NOT drink any alcohol, ever, and it was always too much trouble to find and convert fun drinks to non-alcoholic versions – I am pinning all of yours!!! :-)

I have never been addicted, but I have watched it alter and harm so many lives (even for drinkers who weren’t addicted either!), I HATE ALCOHOL!!! And I REFUSE to use it myself! I will not dance with the devil, and even though my children are in their late teens and early 20s (and won’t drink either, so far), I can see how much they admire and depend on my refusal-on-principle – how could I endanger the stability of their lives for the phony “thrill” of feeling drunk for a few hours…??? (and then SICK! :-P)

I have SUCH admiration for someone who battles an addiction to our only legal drug and IS WINNING!!! My x-husband won’t stop, my mother and sisters won’t admit it is a problem in their lives (they have “soft” addictions, and refuse to see how much damage it has caused for them and our family), so it is uplifting to read your story and hear your candor! I will be praying for you and rooting for you!! Keep up the GREAT work, and again, THANK YOU!!!

  4. I appreciate the non alcohol drinks!! My parents owned hotels all their lives (small town ones) my dad was a dry alcoholic and I saw way too much abuse in all those years !! so I tend to NOT drink, but I see soooo many posts from people who feel that the only way they can have a good time, is to make sure they have that 18 pack every weekend…. CONGRATS to your years of sobriety
