M&M Christmas Bar Recipe – Christmas Cookie Week #ChristmasCookies

Today is the final day of Christmas Cookie Week, I have had so much fun sharing 5 recipes with you. This week has been chaos here at our home, we are doing a Kitchen renovation and building a bathroom so I simply must tell you that I baked these 5 goodies last week and they were eaten up within the first few days. I’m awfully glad that I snapped the photos right away…my family are animals I tell ya!

Today I’m finishing with a recipe I’ve been wanting to try. I saw a Magic Christmas Bar recipe on Chocolate, Chocolate and More and have adapted it to suit our tastes by changing out 1 ingredient for white chocolate.

M&M Christmas Bar Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups crushed vanilla cookies or wafers
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 bags white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 bag Holiday M & Ms
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk

PREPARATION

  1. Begin by preheating oven to 350 degrees F then lightly spray or butter a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Combine cocoa, butter and crushed vanilla cookies until moist.
  3. Spread the cookie mixture on the bottom of the pan evenly to form your crust.
  4. Layer remaining ingredients onto the crust. Keep a handful of M&M’s asisde.
  5. Pour sweetened condensed milk over the pan, ensure you cover the entire thing and sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on top.
  6. Bake until the milk begins to turn gold,en, approximately 30 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool and cut to serve.
